Why we’ve chosen The Sycamore Centre
It’s no secret that we’ve been searching for a community building that would be right for us. In The Sycamore Centre, we have found just than haven.
A space to house all our initiatives and activities but also we were given the opportunity to save a building of significant community importance. In saving this centre, we have secured the future of Dewi Sant Nursery.
Our new space promises to bring more activities, clubs and social events to the area. We’re so excited to have branched out into Ty Sign.
What we do at The Sycamore Centre
Venue Hire
From large venue hires for clubs and activities for adults and children and even birthday parties we have a fantastic venue hire space to fit your needs. Complete with its own kitchen space and bathrooms.

Snug Coffee Shop
Our little Oasis on the Hill, we’ve expanded our Profit for Purpose coffee shop Snug into it’s second location. A warm and welcoming space post dog walk or school run this charming coffee shop proudly uses Big Dog Coffee with our new signature blend.
The Community Classroom
Looking for a venue to host your class? We have a brand new community classroom looking for teachers. Whether you teach languages, key skills or crafts we have the space for you.

Snug Coffee Shop
Our beautiful new Snug Coffee Shop located in Sycamore offers the same warm welcome, delicious food and drinks and cosy vibes as our other location at Tredegar Street.
Our Ty Sign location is equipped with a children’s area. This area is designed to offer parents a much-needed break and a chance to connect with friends, share stories, and build a support network with other parents.
We’re launching our new Snug with a brand new exclusive blend. We’re proud to introduce a new signature Snug Blend, crafted in partnership with Big Dog Coffee. This Welsh-based roastery shares our values of community and quality, and their ethos resonates deeply with our mission at Community Volunteers Wales.

We Share our spaces and our expertise and repurpose usable waste from landfill wherever possible.
We Nurture
We Nurture businesses, groups and combat loneliness in the community through regular activities at The Sycamore Centre and giving homes to significant community services.
We Connect
We Connect our community through our beautiful new Snug coffee shop promising to be an oasis to relax, unwind or to catch up with friends over a delicious coffee.
We Grow
We Grow skills in the community at The Sycamore Centre by upskilling our volunteers and developing our Community Classroom.
