We’re excited to announce that our new Bike Self Repair Stations have been installed throughout the community providing tools to repair your bike on the go!

There will be three in total; two on scenic drive and one in Risca park.

The stations include:

  • Stand to hold your bike whilst doing repairs
  • Pump to reinflate tyres
  • A variety of tools to repair your bike (hex key, screwdrivers, spanner, wrenches)

Perfect if you have a puncture whilst you’re out and about!

Even better, they’re not just for bikes… they also work for pram and wheelchair wheels.

Making the simple pleasure of riding a bike accessible

Cycling is not just a means of transportation; it is a holistic lifestyle choice that brings about numerous benefits for individuals and the community at large. Encouraging people to cycle promotes physical well-being by offering a low-impact, cardiovascular exercise that improves overall health and fitness.

Beyond the personal advantages, cycling is environmentally friendly, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and improved air quality, making our communities more sustainable. Additionally, cycling fosters a sense of community and social connection as people share the roads and cycling paths. It is a cost-effective and efficient mode of transportation, easing traffic congestion and reducing the demand for limited parking spaces.

By advocating for cycling through these bike repair stations, we aim to create healthier, more sustainable, and connected communities while positively impacting individual well-being and the environment.

Community Bike Hub

This initiative is an extension of our Community Bike Hub, where help to reduce local landfill by encouraging recycling through donations of old bikes and offer bike repairs and maintenance.

We take bikes of all sizes and conditions and no bike ends up in landfill as our engineers will utilise beyond-repair bikes for spare parts for others.

Refurbished bikes

Our Bike Hub redirects bikes that would have been otherwise discarded and donates them to people in the community. Whether you need an adult bike or a bike for your child we will be able to help.

Essential bike maintenance

Our skilled engineers will give your bike a full MOT, fix tyres, brakes, and ensure your bike is fully road worthy.
